The Volkswagen badge became an unlikely fashion statement in the mid-1980s with the emergence of US rappers The Beastie Boys. You know the story! For us though, the VW symbol represents a car that has been around since 1937 and is known as the “people’s car” – the literal German translation of Volkswagen.
